ዛሬ ጠዋት ከብሔራዊ የመከላከያ ሠራዊት አመራሮች ጋር በነበረን ስብሰባ ወቅት፣ሠራዊታችን የሠላም ጠባቂ እና የሀገራችንን ሉዓላዊነት የሚያስከብር በመሆኑ የሚሰማኝን ኩራት ገልጫለሁ። ስነ ምግባርን እና ሙያተኝነትን የማጠናከር እና በየትኛውም የሕግ ማስከበር ሥራ የመከላከያ ሠራዊታችንን እሴቶች የማይወክል ተግባር የሚፈጽሙትን ተጠያቂ ማድረግ፣ በአግባቡ ኃላፊነታቸውን የሚወጡትን መሸለም እንደሚገባ አሳስቤያለሁ። የተጠያቂነት እና የስነ ምግባር ክፍተቶች በተገቢው ስርዓት ርምጃ የሚወሰድባቸው ይሆናል።

In my meeting this morning with the leadership of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, I expressed pride in our forces as guardians of peace and protectors of sovereignty. I also cautioned them on the need to strengthen discipline and professionalism, holding accountable those that undertake deeds in any operation which do not represent the ENDF values and rewarding those that do. Accountability and disciplinary gaps will be addressed through the appropriate channels.
