In 2016, Hunter Biden's Bohai Harvest invested in Yancoal Australia, a coal-mining subsidiary of Chinese-government owned Yankuang Group, which was China’s fourth-largest coal producer at the time.
In 2020, Yankuang Group merged with China's Shandong Energy Group, which renamed itself Shandong Energy Co. Ltd., and collectively now forms the second-largest coal producer in China.
China keeps building more coal plants, while America shuts down fossil fuels.
