Six years ago I was put on a jury for an IRS/State tax evasion case. The individual seemed on the up and up. Used CPA's for transactions and eventual sale of his company. IRS claimed tax evasion. I never saw anything in the evidence proving it. Luckily the defense counsel asked about the statutes. The IRS witness said they "interpret" tax code, tax laws. I wrote that down on my notepad. When it came to deliberations, they wanted to do a quick straw poll on guilt. I was the only one voting not guilty. Everyone was hounding me while I showed them how absurd this case was. Even the judge was a prick, sending the case back TWICE when it was obviously going to be a mistrial. I stood my ground. I tell everyone to vote your moral conscience. Not these fabricated charges.
