Visited the NEA - EHI Mosquito Production Facility. They produce Wolbachia bacteria-carrying male Aedes mosquitoes. When these are released and mate with urban Aedes mosquitoes, their eggs don’t hatch, thus reducing mosquito population. This is one of the ways we are fighting dengue.
