The Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on COVID-19 continues to meet regularly to provide updates on Nigeria’s response to the pandemic.
During his last PSC briefing as the NCDC Director General, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu spoke on efforts to sustain the COVID-19 response and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the country.
“For 19 months, the National Emergency Operations Centre on COVID-19 has been activated and colleagues continue to work everyday, strategising on new ways to sustain the response.
Today, I particularly celebrate all the staff, colleagues, partners in all the Federal Government agencies who have worked over the last 19 months to sustain the COVID-19 response.
Finally, to the Chairman of the PSC, Honourable Ministers, my colleagues and gentlemen of the press, it’s been a privilege of my lifetime working with you for almost two years and I look forward to a stronger country”
