The week of April 21st through April 27th is National Volunteer Recognition Week and this year we have approximately 4000 LASD Volunteers to thank in our Department!

The volunteers within our LASD family perform many diverse roles including; clergy members providing support during crises, front desk volunteers assisting the public at stations, clerical volunteers aiding in administrative tasks, patrol volunteers serving as additional eyes and ears in the community, mounted volunteers conducting observation patrols, search and rescue volunteers aiding in emergencies, mentor youths participating in law enforcement activities through the Explorer Program, and CERT certified volunteers responding to disasters.

To all the volunteers who generously give their time, energy, and heart to support Los Angeles County, we want to express a deeply heartfelt thank you.
