Frens and frenettes! I come bearing a couple announcements! Nothing bad or crazy, so fear not!

As Truth Social becomes more prevalent, the need to have a chat becomes less so. The chat has served a wonderful purpose since we were all launched into orbit from Twitter. It has helped me get to know quite a few of you to a level which never could have happened on Twitter and it has become a meeting place of sorts.

🚨 To preface; THE CHANNEL WILL REMAIN UP, CHAT WILL NOT. 🚨

With that said, as more and more users have been onboarded to Truth, the chat has become less and less active and the ratio of spam and bot comments to real comments is getting pretty absurd.

Please understand this decision wasn’t made in haste. This is something I have been contemplating for awhile and I feel it is just time. My Admins do a lovely job maintaining the chat, but this is also time that they, and myself could be digging, or posting instead. Quite frankly - I don’t see the need in allocating anymore energy towards moderating and maintaining a chat when those efforts can be better spent elsewhere. It gets stressful managing a chat, making sure folks don’t put users or ourselves in danger, keeping the bots up, constantly battling trolls and shills …. It’s exhausting. And it’s a side many folks don’t often hear about.

To my Admins who have enthusiastically helped me sans complaint;

NEW: A federal judge has thrown thrown out a major Biden admin policy that limits who ICE can arrest/deport to public safety & national security threats & recent border crossers. Mayorkas had previously said just being in the US illegally wasn’t enough to justify removal.

The states of Texas & Louisiana sued DHS after Secretary Mayorkas issued the policy, arguing that it prevents ICE from enforcing the law.
