I'm having a feeling that there has been a translation mistake, I think ISIS has announced the death of ISIS leader now but he was killed in Early February where US special forces carried out an operation in Idlib.
Pentagon had confirmed his death earlier on.

I've broken it down, so far there have been 4 leaders of ISIS.
1) Abu Bakr-Al Baghdadi killed under President Trump on 26 October 2019.
2) Abu-Ibrahim Al-Hashimi al-Qureshi killed on 3rd February 2022 under President Biden.
3) Abu-Al-Hasan Al-Hashimi al-Qurashi announced dead today by ISIS spox.
4) New leader announced today Abu Al-Hussein al-Hussayni al-Qurashi

❗UPDATE - Sources from Syria are painting a different story, according to one source the ISIS leader Abu-al-Hasan was killed by a rival group in Idlib most probably the HTS which is affiliated to Al-Qaeda.
