I'm having a feeling that there has been a translation mistake, I think ISIS has announced the death of ISIS leader now but he was killed in Early February where US special forces carried out an operation in Idlib.
Pentagon had confirmed his death earlier on.
So basically I think ISIS is announcing it now, but he was killed back in February.
