The long-term purchasing power of 'free', by definition, is zero.
This is what "student loan forgiveness" and "free college" and "UBI" proponents simply do not grasp: the inherent value of anything is equivalent to what must be traded for it in exchange.
The only way to regain credibility is to dissolve all Central Banks. Anything short of that isn't sufficient.

(1) She, herself, is a source of mis- and dis-information, and isn't aware of it; and (2) no single person--or group of people--anywhere, EVER has the ability to be trusted with being the "arbiter of truth".
All historical attempts to institute a "Ministry of Truth" show the fallacy of the idea and all have failed dismally and at the expense of much human life.
