I agree. And, the central bank here is the Fed. If we do a so called CBDC, but it’s under the US Treasury, that is a HUGE sign that the Fed is done and we are in better hands. I think we also need a neutral currency, unaffiliated with any govt that can act as a currency anywhere (backed of course by precious metals) and act as an exchange if people choose to hold a specific country’s currency. And, the option of a physical dollar (US Treasury Note) must remain, so that people have the ability to hold physical cash to hedge against the govt unilaterally freezing accounts or setting an expiration on digital dollars.
