On April 4, the English version of our documentary "CORONA.FILM - Prologue" was deleted from Youtube without any warning.
The story of this censorship starts on March 23, 2021, when OVALmedia published the new documentary film about the Corona crisis "CORONA.FILM - Prologue" on the video platform Vimeo.
On March 25, Vimeo reacted by deleting the entire OVALmedia channel containing about a hundred films without warning. This was all the more astonishing because the channel was a service commissioned and paid for by OVALmedia. Because of the deletion, the ability of our company to earn money with film production was severely limited.
On April 4th the deletion of the English version on Youtube followed.
The Google subsidiary justified this step with the violation of the so-called "Community Guidelines", on the basis of which medical disinformation had allegedly been established.
However, Youtube did not provide neither evidence nor proof for this accusation. Providing evidence should be difficult for Youtube, as it has no recognized expertise in assessing health issues.
As a reminder - Youtube is neither a government agency nor a company active in the medical field. Youtube is merely a video platform which, however, grants itself the right to separate medical information from disinformation.
Given these factors, it can be assumed that the censorship practiced by Youtube says more about the interests of the company than about the current scientific medical discourse. In fact, Youtube has an interest in maintaining the current lockdown policy, which OVALmedia had critically questioned in its now deleted documentary. Youtube is part of Google, which in turn is owned by parent company Alphabet Inc.
Alphabet, like Amazon and Facebook, is one of the winners of the crisis.
For example, the company posted a profit of around $15.23 billion for the fourth quarter of 2020, almost $4 billion more than in the same quarter last year.

In this context, one can see why Youtube wants to suppress the critical discourse about the contradictions of the lockdown policy, which OVALmedia started with its successful documentary film "CORONA.FILM - Prologue". Youtube abuses its market power to suppress the public discourse about lockdown policy in favour of its own financial interest.

On April 11th, Ecuador Elecciones named Guillermo Lasso, a member of the country’s financial elite, winner against Andrés Arauz, a progressive US-trained economist. In Peru, Leftist professor Pedro Castillo, of the Peru Libre Party, appears to be the winner of the first round of elections while Conservative Keiko Fujimori has taken second place. At the same time in Bolivia, results of the regional elections are coming through. Five new governors were elected on the 7th of March, while four regions held a second round of elections.
