Eastern Region - navigation skills workshop
On Sunday 21st April PA members from Eastern Region met in rural Hertfordshire for a day of orienteering and map reading presented by a local expert.
It was an incredibly educational adventure learning about map co-ordinates and bearings and how to find one's way using a map and compass without relying on modern tech. We navigated a route through fields and forests and sat down for an enjoyable packed lunch in a village along the way.
PA Eastern region has a regular programme of positive outdoor pursuits which are educational, healthy and sociable!

Today, activists from PA North West as well as a local non-PA volunteer gathered in Widnes town centre in support of local independent council candidate Callum Hewitt.
We handed out hundreds of leaflets and had dozens of conversations with locals, all of whom were glad to see a candidate who was going against the Labour status quo in the town.
We finished the day with a well-deserved pint and a meal in the finest local establishment.
