All we hear in Washington is “war in Ukraine, war in Ukraine!” I’m not listening to the foreign war drums.

While I support efforts in the Georgia legislature to end the horrific practice of genital mutilation of children proclaimed by the left as “gender affirming care,” the current bill, SB 140, is deeply flawed and could have many unintended consequences.
If not amended in the Senate, this bill will set Georgia far behind states like Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi who have passed MUCH stronger laws to protect the innocence of children.
First off, SB 140 is written with vague language that could make it easily thrown out in the courts. Not only that, it could end up being cited as precedent leading to other state’s stronger laws being challenged and removed.
Secondly, the bill doesn’t address puberty blockers at all. These dangerous drugs permanently alter the bodies of these confused children. This must be added to the final bill before passing the Senate.
Finally, and most importantly, SB 140 includes a dangerous loophole that will be exploited by profiteering doctors who are ready to cut off the breasts of girls and castrate boys. This bill includes an outrageous “medically necessary” provision. This means any doctor who is ready to put a child under the knife and perform permanent life-altering surgery simply has to claim it was “necessary” to complete the barbaric procedure.
In its current form, SB 140 does not achieve what it claims to be doing. In reality, if this becomes a law, no child will be protected from an overzealous doctor or from their own confusion. It allows the mutilation to continue under the guise of “medical” necessity and doesn’t do anything to prevent dangerous hormone therapy that destroys God’s creation.
Every Georgian should call their State Senator immediately and urge them to put forth and pass amendments to address these serious problems.
Our children’s innocence is too important to fall prey to this social contagion. Georgia should be leading on this issue, but sadly we’re not.

I will NOT vote for a budget that funds the two tiered justice system in America.
The Democrat controlled DOJ and FBI top brass are political and have weaponized their power against the right to persecute everyone with conservative values and aligned with Trump, but refuses to prosecute the left for their crimes.
The Republican controlled budget must defund the two-tiered justice system and reign in the politically weaponized DOJ and FBI, or I will not vote for it.
