San Fran's CRE Apocalypse: The City's Two Biggest Hotels Have Defaulted
The 1,921-room Hilton is the city’s largest hotel and the 1,024-room Parc 55 is the fourth-largest, and together they account for around 9% of the city’s hotel stock.

The U.S. Supreme Court reversed court rulings in which local governments seized two homes over unpaid tax debts and kept sale proceeds that far exceeded the tax owed.
In that decision, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a Minnesota county wronged a 94-year-old grandmother when it forced the sale of her condominium over an unpaid tax debt and kept the sale proceeds that far exceeded the tax she owed.

China Deploys 10 Military Aircraft, 4 Naval Vessels Around Taiwan Within Just 24 Hours
June 6, 2023
1. Taiwan spotted 10 Chinese military aircraft and four naval vessels around the island between Monday and Tuesday
2. A Chinese anti-submarine warfare helicopter entered Taiwan's air defense identification zone
3. Taiwan scrambled combat patrol aircraft and dispatched naval vessels in response to the Chinese incursion
Data from the Taiwanese defense ministry showed that at least 16 Chinese warplanes and 32 naval vessels have been detected around the island since June 1.
John Kirby, the White House National Security Council spokesperson, said they are confronting China's "growing aggressiveness" in the region.
