I become very suspicious of “nationalists” who spend their time online belly aching about other nationalists who, against all odds, are able to fund their nationalist activities with businesses or donations. The dialectic they set up is a totally unwinnable one for the nationalist they’re targeting. They accuse the person or group of “grifting”, a completely unsubstantiated accusation, but the implication is nationalism must ONLY be funded by careers unrelated to it, careers that would be ended the second that person was “exposed” as a nationalist.

It is the most transparent example of a bad faith criticism, and if you do it I’m suspicious of your motivations.
