Interesting post from the WEF back in 2017 stating that Scientists believe they could use technology to essentially hack a human mind.
If this is what they are admitting, 5 years ago, I'd imagine this is more feasible than we think.

Not much is know about why (maybe cancer?) as that's still shrouded in mystery.
