After a series of violent clashes with Palestinian worshippers at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, police will close the holy site to Jewish worshippers till the end of Ramadan. Discussions on exactly when to begin the ban will take place Thursday.
PM Naftali Bennett has been accused by Knesset Member Itamar Ben-Gvir of handing, “A reward to the enemy... This bizarre decision will cost us blood. Surrendering to the enemy only begets terrorism.”
Bennett’s Yamina party countered that the Jewish access ban is a practice that’s been in place for over a decade.
