At the "ID Study Days" - the ID Group's three-day conclave in Paris - I also obtained information on the topic of cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, in a presentation by Francois-Louis Michaud, the Executive Director of the European Financial Supervisory Authority.
To what extent does regulation at the EU level make any sense at all, when the market is following completely different developments globally? Can it be ruled out that instruments of such regulation will also be used to restrict civil liberties, as we recently saw with the blocking of Canadian Freedom Truckers' wallets? What is the banking regulator's position on the ban on “proof of work”?
The European Banking Authority says it initially divides players into two categories: Service providers that take a libertarian, "radical" approach to freeing themselves from the banking system, and multinational companies that harness crypto assets to evade banking regulation.
Accordingly, the authority is also pursuing two approaches: First, it wants to offer a comparable product in the form of "digital central bank currency" to be used as a cross-border, low-cost means of payment. There is no specific timetable, but this goal is being pursued “at full speed”. The second approach is to force players who offer payment services to undergo regulation so that no competitive advantage is created over players who are already subject to regulation.
Within the framework of the G20, coordination of measures is to be sought, but nothing concrete can be said about this yet.
It is also important to the European Financial Supervisory Authority that all issuers of cryptocurrencies must identify themselves and align their activities with a catalog of measures.
However, the idea of anonymous, or pseudonymous cryptocurrencies would not be able to be pursued further with this.
There was no concrete rejection that regulatory measures would not also be used to restrict civil rights. It was emphasized, however, that an "inclusive" approach was also being sought for digital services, so that people for example who do not own or cannot operate an appropriate terminal device are not excluded.
The conclusion that can be drawn so far from the information provided by the European Banking Authority is that anyone who can read between the lines will certainly already have an idea of where the journey is heading to in the future.
I'm pretty sure that the approach of cryptocurrencies so far, of wanting to free themselves from the central banking system, will set alarm bells ringing among the technocrats in Brussels. The idea of an anonymous or pseudonymous payment option as a kind of a digital variant of analog cash will also not be compatible with the goals of these circles, as can be seen, for example, from the worldwide campaigns to displace cash, which have been going on for a long time.
Freedom and self-determination are fundamentally a thorn in the flesh of the technocratic elites, and so they will also try to regulate everything in the crypto sector and press it into their templates. Whether such efforts will ultimately be successful remains to be seen, because after all, it is precisely this prospect of technocratic paternalism and social lack of freedom that is at least as big a thorn in the side of us freedom-loving citizens.
We will therefore have to stay on the ball and keep a close eye on this issue as well.

Bei den "ID Study Days" – der dreitägigen Klausurtagung der ID-Fraktion in Paris – informierte ich mich in einem Vortrag von Francois-Louis Michaud, dem geschäftsführenden Direktor der europäischen Bankenaufsicht, auch zum Thema Kryptowährungen wie beispielsweise Bitcoin oder Ethereum.
Inwiefern macht hier eine Regulierung auf EU-Ebene überhaupt Sinn, wenn der Markt global ganz andere Entwicklungen verfolgt? Kann ausgeschlossen werden, dass Instrumente einer solchen Regulierung auch zur Einschränkung von bürgerlichen Freiheiten benutzt werden, wie man zuletzt bei der Sperrung von Wallets der kanadischen Freedom Trucker mitansehen musste? Wie steht die Bankenaufsicht zum Verbot des "Proof of Work"?
Die Europäische Bankenaufsicht erklärt, sie teile die Akteure zunächst in zwei Kategorien ein: Dienstleister, die einen freiheitlich, "radikalen" Ansatz verfolgen, um sich vom Bankensystem zu befreien, sowie multinationale Unternehmen, die Kryptowerte nutzbar machen, um sich der Bankenaufsicht zu entziehen.
Entsprechend verfolgt die Behörde auch zwei Ansätze: Zum einen will sie ein vergleichbares Produkt in Form von "Digitaler Zentralbankwährung" anbieten, die als grenzüberschreitendes, günstiges Zahlungsmittel benutzt werden sollen. Einen konkreten Zeitplan soll es nicht geben, jedoch verfolge man dieses Ziel "mit Hochdruck“. Als zweiten Ansatz möchte man Akteure, die Zahlungsdienstleistungen anbieten grundsätzlich zu einer Regulierung zwingen, damit kein Wettbewerbsvorteil gegenüber Akteuren entsteht, die bereits einer Regulierung unterliegen.
Im Rahmen der G20 soll eine Koordinierung der Maßnahmen angestrebt werden, man könne dazu aber noch nichts Konkretes sagen.
Wichtig sei der europäischen Bankenaufsicht auch, dass sich alle Emittenten von Kryptowährungen identifizieren müssen und ihre Aktivitäten an einem Maßnahmenkatalog auszurichten haben.
Die Idee von anonymen, bzw. pseudonymen Kryptowährungen würde damit allerdings nicht weiterverfolgt werden können.
Eine konkrete Absage, dass Maßnahmen zur Regulierung nicht auch zur Einschränkung von Bürgerrechten eingesetzt werden, gab es allerdings nicht. Es wurde jedoch betont, dass man einen "inklusiven" Ansatz auch bei digitalen Dienstleistungen anstrebe, damit Menschen, die z.B. ein entsprechendes Endgerät nicht besitzen oder nicht bedienen können, nicht ausgeschlossen werden.
Als bisheriges Fazit aus den Informationen der europäischen Bankenaufsicht kann bislang festgehalten werden, dass jeder, der zwischen den Zeilen lesen kann, sicher jetzt schon ahnen wird, wohin die Reise in Zukunft gehen soll.
Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass der bisherige Ansatz von Kryptowährungen, sich vom Zentralbankensystem befreien zu wollen, bei den Brüsseler Technokraten die Alarmglocken schrillen lässt. Auch die Vorstellung einer anonymen bzw. pseudonymen Zahlungsmöglichkeit als eine Art digitaler Variante des analogen Bargelds wird sich mit den Zielen dieser Kreise nicht vereinbaren lassen, wie man z.B. anhand der weltweiten Kampagnen zur Verdrängung des Bargeldes bereits seit langem sehen kann.
Freiheit und Selbstbestimmung sind den technokratischen Eliten grundsätzlich ein Dorn im Auge und so werden sie auch im Kryptobereich versuchen, alles zu regulieren und in ihre Schablonen zu pressen. Ob solche Anstrengungen letztlich erfolgreich sein werden bleibt abzuwarten, denn schließlich ist uns freiheitsliebenden Bürgern genau diese Aussicht auf technokratische Bevormundung und gesellschaftliche Unfreiheit ein mindestens ebenso großer Dorn im Auge.
Daher werden wir auch bei diesem Thema weiter am Ball bleiben und genau hinsehen müssen.

Now a very special risk group is coming into focus: pilots!
Due to the side effects, these may become permanently unfit to fly and a risk for the entire air traffic. Just imagine the pilot of a fully occupied jumbo jet suffering a circulatory collapse during the approach to a major city airport.

While politicians and the media are still largely turning a blind eye and no meaningful data collection is being carried out, a very special risk group is now coming into focus: pilots and flight attendants!
So far, it appears only in marginal notes in the mainstream media that flights are being canceled because of alleged staff shortages at airlines and airports.
Only one aspect of this is the withdrawal of personnel who did not want to submit to a vaccination regime and therefore moved to other industries and are now no longer available for flight operations.
But even those who complied with the vaccination campaign are probably already being caught up in the consequences of their decision. This is particularly relevant for pilots.
These may become permanently unfit to fly due to the side effects and become a risk to the entire air traffic. If you imagine that the pilot of a fully occupied jumbo jet suffers heart problems or a circulatory collapse during the approach to a major city airport, you can see how the previous personal risk of an individual suddenly becomes a potential danger for everyone.
For this important and so far not publicly discussed topic area, I would like to urgently bring about the necessary attention and clarify with international experts which distortions the COVID vaccination campaign has triggered and will continue to trigger, especially in the flight sector.

Die EMA-Datenbank der Europäischen Medizin-Agentur verzeichnet für den experimentellen COVID- „Impfstoff“ einen sehr hohen Anstieg an gemeldeten Verdachtsfällen zu Nebenwirkungen und Todesfällen. Während Politik und Medien dazu noch immer weitestgehend die Augen verschließen und auch weiterhin keine aussagekräftigen Datenerhebungen durchgeführt werden, rückt nun eine ganz besondere Risikogruppe in den Fokus: Piloten und Flugbegleiter!
Bislang erscheint nur in Randnotizen der Mainstream-Medien, dass Flüge gestrichen werden, weil angeblich Personalmangel bei den Fluglinien und an Flughäfen herrschen soll.
Dabei ist lediglich ein Aspekt der Weggang von Personal, das sich einem Impfregime nicht unterwerfen wollte, daher in andere Branchen wechselte und nun nicht mehr für den Flugbetrieb zur Verfügung steht.

Für dieses wichtige und bislang nicht öffentlich diskutierte Themenfeld möchte ich dringend die nötige Aufmerksamkeit herbeiführen und mit internationalen Experten darüber aufklären, welche Verwerfungen die COVID-Impfkampagne gerade im Flugbereich ausgelöst hat und noch weiter auslösen wird.
