Videos of the military showing up in Brasilia with their vehicles are all over social media in Brazil.

This odd movement from them is not going unnoticed.

There is also a rumor going on that the Military asked to people to remove their posters and signs from the fence in front of the Army HQ.

(Just a comment: people haven't vandalized the Army building. The fence in question is at the left side of the video, at the other side of the street.)

US Bans Chinese Tech That Allegedly Lets China Spy On Military Sites

The new rules, prohibiting U.S. sales and imports of equipment from companies including Huawei and ZTE, are the first to be implemented on the grounds they pose “unacceptable risk to national security,” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said Friday.

U.S. authorities have expressed concerns that Beijing could exploit the companies’ telecommunications installations across the country to collect data from U.S. sites, including nuclear and military sites in the U.S.

Companies the FCC determined pose an “unacceptable” national security threat thus far include:

The Administrative State Can Put a Bug in Your Phone

In mid-June 2021, when too few residents voluntarily installed a COVID contact-tracing app, Massachusetts began working with Google to secretly install the app in more than one million Android mobile phones or devices.

The New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) filed a class-action lawsuit this month against the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to end the “spyware” program with its “brazen disregard for civil liberties.”

Massachusetts set up a program that:
📌Gave government access to Citizens’ whereabouts without a warrant (which relies on probable cause to protect against unreasonable searches)
📌When users try to delete the app, the app nonetheless reappears, according to consumer complaints..
📌Inability to delete the app removes not only of an expectation of privacy but also of data usage they did not anticipate.

NCLA litigation counsel Sheng Li called that a “taking”: the government seizing property without compensation.

Attorney Who Requested to Represent Trump But Was Denied Dies Unexpectedly at Age 48

John Meringolo, New York defense lawyer and Pace University professor, died unexpectedly on Nov. 16. Two months prior, he had requested that he be allowed to represent former President Donald Trump’s Trump Organization and Trump Payroll Corp. at the last minute.

Meringolo was retained by the Trump family to defend its companies in a case involving Timothy Shea( We Build the Wall).
Meringolo wrote Judge Analisa Torres on Sept. 14, asking her to delay the Shea case three weeks because the Trump Payroll Corp Trial and the Shea’s retrial were scheduled to begin the same day. That request was denied.

Meringolo’s Sept. 2 request asking Manhattan SC Justice Juan Merchan to delay the trial against Trump companies was also refused.

Ousted Disney CEO Bob Chapek Reportedly Cooked The Books To Hide Disney Plus Financial Losses

The board of directors announced Iger’s unexpected comeback and confirmed Bob Chapek had stepped down from his position.

According to reports, investors were disappointed by Disney’s latest earnings report, which detailed persistent losses at the company’s streaming media unit, which includes Disney+.

A new report is now alleging that Chapek used deceptive accounting practices to try and hide how much money was lost with Disney+.

To keep the warning signals from blaring, Chapek allegedly took to airing some Disney Plus originals, on the company’s other networks.

During the company’s Investor Day 2020 presentation, Chapek assured those in attendance that the company expected “Disney+ to achieve profitability in fiscal 2024.”

Nearly impossible since the company has “lost more than $8.5 billion since Disney+ launched and has posted bigger operating losses in each of the post four quarters.”
