I live in Connecticut, by way of Oklahoma to San Francisco to Manhattan to New England.
On the way I retained almost all of my mannerisms and colloquial artifacts. So I don’t fit in here - but my daughters do. So basically I just try to blend in with limited success.

The reason that Old Salt speaks to me is resilience.
To wit: Following overlapping recessions I found myself with a big family working commission outside sales, then sales trainer and then as sales manager. My gift is literally teaching scared young sailors how to conduct themselves under fearsome and dangerous conditions.

Connecticut historically was a red state. Home to hard-working producers in a small state with a huge manufacturing and military hardware economy. We were, decades ago, a powerhouse little engine sandwiched between Boston and New York City. A baseball state with no team. Our bareknuckled blue-collar producers were the rule.

The musketballs that we used to butcher King George’s Hessians were dug out of hillsides in the northwestern corner of Connecticut. Colt Firearms in Hartford. Black powder and Dynamite manufactured in the low river valley outside of Farmington.

The ball-bearings for WWII battleship deck guns were milled in tiny Torrington which was in turn supplied by Waterbury, the Brass City. Vulcanized rubber to shoe your war machine came from proud Naugatuck, the accidental home of Naugahyde.

Waterbury was also the clock making capital of New England, where they built the timing works for depth charges and torpedoes that put a stop to Japanese pestilence.

Sikorsky is here, with its cancer clusters. Electric boat is in New London. I even had a sailing slip across the Thames River and you could see bulges running upstream when they took those monsters out for sea trials.
GE was nearby but OG Pratt & Whitney is homegrown straight out of East Hartford.

Connecticut has incredible history, and a lot to be proud of. It is my testimony that we are still - at heart - a red state. But for the slums of Stamford Bridgeport Hartford and Waterbury, where election fraud is complacently accepted, even shrugged off.

So @HoldConnecticut simply means that - at some point - the storm must subside and give these poor boys a break.
If I can just keep reminding them who we really are, instead of some nutmeg ghetto between The City and Bean Town.

🔹Mark Anthony Rodriguez, 56, of San Antonio, a former schoolteacher with the Southside Independent School District, was sentenced to 240 months in prison on child pornography charges.
🔹Per court docs: A search warrant had been executed at Rodriguez's home where 3 electronic devices were found. Those devices had approximately 4,700 images and 384 videos of child pornography.
🔹At the conclusion of a bench trial on December 12, 2019, the judge found Rodriguez guilty of one count of distribution of child pornography; one count of receipt of child pornography; and 3 counts of possession of child pornography.
🔹Additionally, Rodriguez was ordered to pay $70,000 in restitution to 14 separate victims.

🔹Tulsa County's Child Predator Unit arrests an employee of the Tulsa Boys Home, accused of having at least 7,000 images of child sexual abuse.
🔹Investigators say they found thousands of child porn images just on Matthew Whitaker's phone and they haven't even searched his computer and hard drive and other devices yet.
🔹"We're into the multiple thousands of images and videos, and it's a very certain age group, definitely ten and under as far as what he was interested in," said detective Jason Weis.
🔹Weis says Whitaker is a residential youth caretaker at the Tulsa Boy's Home and they plan to work with the home to make sure none of the boys were exposed to the pictures.

If people knew how many predators have their crimes covered up by teacher's unions and school districts that just shuffle these pedos around from one school to the next, there would be an open revolt.

And now a federal judge is ruling the new Biden regulation is an unconstitutional violation.

Same thing will happen if Biden tries to bypass Congress and forgive student debt all by himself.

👆👆👆As is being revealed by Truth Social, you certainly can pay somebody so you can pretend to be a social media influencer. On platforms like Twitter or here on Telegram, you can play your make-believe games. On Truth Social it's a lot harder to pull that off.

Plenty of people are buying bots and inflating their social media following to try to raise their visibility in a very competitive place.

In fact the more people that get on a social media platform, the bigger the competition gets to attract and hold the attention of real followers.

If you don't have anything really interesting or informative to say, if you have nothing to really contribute, you just want the trappings of being a well known social media influencer without putting in the hard work to earn it?

You'll end up doing several things.

1) You'll end up 'borrowing' the work of other far more successful influencers and passing it off as your own. The drawback to that is you'll eventually get caught and get a reputation as a plagiarizer.

2) You'll buy fake followers to pretend thousands of real people are hanging on to your every post. The drawback to that is you'll end up with one of those comical accounts with 600,000 followers but your actual post views and responses never climbs above 20,000.

"I'll just fake it until I make it!" is a dumb strategy. You can't fake your way to having real social media influence. You've either got something that makes you stand out from the 15,000 other people competing for that same audience or you don't.

If you don't, it doesn't matter how many bot followers you buy or how many people you pay to run dozens of sock accounts to pretend to be your ardent fans.

You're on a train to nowhere.
