The system, consisting of 5 pumps allegedly located in the northern part of the enclave, would take several weeks to inundate the 500-kilometer Hamas tunnels with water from the Mediterranean Sea.
The potential risks include impacting freshwater resources in the enclave, already facing issues, and drawing international condemnation of the Biden administration.
