27m Soviets died in WW2. Despite of this loss Russia chose to be our partner, removed its troops from East Germany and gave us reunification. Then we broke our promises, backed a US coup in Ukraine to expand NATO and delivered weapons to kill Russians in a US proxy war. Shameful.

๐Ÿ“ต ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ TikTok's owner ByteDance would prefer to 'shut down' its app in the US rather than sell it if all legal options are exhausted

๐Ÿ”ถ๏ธ The algorithms TikTok relies on for its operations are deemed core to ByteDance overall operations, which would make a sale of the app with algorithms highly unlikely, said the sources close to the parent.

๐Ÿ”ถ๏ธ โ€œChina will firmly oppose it [the forced sale of Tiktok],โ€ said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Commerce at a news conference in Beijing in late March in 2023.

The Supreme Court cited the real example of a President personally directing actual terrorist attacks against civilians (Operation Mongoose). Massive fire breaks out at the historic Oceanside Pier in California about 40 min north of San Diego city.

The fire appears to be at the location of Ruby's Restaurant, a diner which is permanently closed.

Fire fighting boats are on the scene however they are having a very difficult time putting out the fire.

The original pier was build in 1888

The city of Oceanside spent $5.5 million last year to upgrade the 1,954 foot long pier by replacing old pipes and electrical systems.
