Currently getting morning, noon and evening calls from Sam asking if the baby is on her way yet. I knew this was going to happen when he got his custodial sentence but now it’s here it’s such a surreal experience. I wish he could attend the birth, but instead he will talk to me down the phone.

I don’t want to complain too much as I know people are going through a lot worse. Wars are happening, people are facing terminal illness. But it’s such a special moment of our life that he’s missing out on. And it makes me sad that we’ll have to wait a few days after she is born (maybe up to a week) before we can schedule a visit, and other people will see her before he does.

If he had actually done something wrong it might be easier to accept his “punishment” but he hasn’t. I’ll never forget that the state did this to him, and if it’s supposed to be a deterrent to our political activity, it’s pushed us the other way.

This just shows us who has all the power in the UK. Israel gets away with bombing whoever and whatever they want - and some of the stories involving children are absolutely horrific - and we sit in silence, but the minute anybody retaliates, we jump to their defence and send in our lads to risk their lives defending a country we owe nothing to.

Great to see PA Yorkshire cracking on with things in Sam's absence. This is why we set the organisation up the way we did where decent, pro-active people can run their own events and we don't require the same few people to travel around the country in order to get anything done. It means whenever the state attacks one of us, things continue as before.

Will be telling Sam about this later and I know he'll be very proud. 😁
