#HandWashing is a basic and effective tool against infections.

If we don't become sick, we would not need to use #antibiotics.

Be an #AntibioticGuardian and promote the culture of #handwashing.

Bacteria become resistant when they change and don't respond to the drugs used to treat the infections they cause.

#Antimicrobials given to humans, animals, fish and crops must be used ONLY with prescription. Do not misuse or overuse.

Prevent #AntimicrobialResistance.

Healthcare workers are advised to always be vigilant - lookout for symptoms of #LassaFever, not all fevers are malaria.

Any febrile illness that has not responded to the use of anti-malaria or antibiotics after 48 hrs should raise an index of suspicion for #LF.

#LassaFeverInfo
#COVID19 is caused by a virus, not bacteria.

Antibiotics should not be used in treatment, except in presence of bacterial infections. Misuse of antibiotics in treating #COVID19 could lead to the emergence and spread of #AntimicrobialResistance.

#LassaFever can be treated.

Early presentation to a healthcare facility greatly increases the chances of survival.

Report to the nearest health facility when you experience symptoms associated with #LassaFever.
#AntimicrobialResistance is a global concern affecting everyone, everywhere, including users & non-users of #antimicrobials.

We need to take these medicines carefully, only as prescribed by a physician.
