Avoidable infections can occur in health care facilities 🏥 in the absence of #HandHygiene.

Policymakers are urged to prioritise resources, training and programmes that improve #CleanHands practices at points of care across the country.

#UniteForSafety, #TurnNigeriaOrange
In 2019, we launched the #TurnNigeriaOrange campaign, a strategy for our National #InfectionPreventionandControl programme, with an overarching goal to support, establish & mentor a network of healthcare facilities across Nigeria to serve as centres of excellence for #IPC.

Yesterday, the #NCDCTeam joined the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, a centre of excellence in the #OrangeNetwork to commemorate the #WorldHandHygieneDay2022.

We continue to work with health facilities in the network to consolidate the milestones recorded so far.
