Humans are continually faced with an increasing number of diseases that are gotten from animals through the environment or direct contact with the animals.

These diseases are called zoonotic diseases and need to be tackled using a One Health approach.

#CleanHands help prevent the spread of diseases!

Wash your hands;
Before and after eating or preparing a meal
After using sanitary facilities
After sneezing/coughing
Upon arriving at work, school or back home

Visit a healthcare facility close to you immediately you observe symptoms associated with #Monkeypox for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Do not self-medicate! Early reporting saves lives.

A clean environment and proper hygiene limit the spread of infectious diseases.

Clean all surfaces frequently and do not share personal items.

#TakeResponsibility to protect yourself and your loved ones.
The #Monkeypox virus can be spread from infected animals to humans.

This may occur by direct contact with blood, body fluids, skin or mucosal lesions of infected animals eg. squirrels, monkeys and rodents.
