We are pleased to announce the inclusion of the Virology Laboratory, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu to the NCDC Molecular Laboratory Network, used for testing for #COVID19.

This totals 59 labs currently in the NCDC laboratory network with the capacity to test for #COVID19.

One of our responsibilities at NCDC is to scale-up capacity for #COVID19 diagnosis in Nigeria as we respond to the pandemic.

As the rainy season progresses, infectious diseases like #Cholera will be common. #Cholera is easily transmitted within areas with poor sanitation and hygiene.

However, #Cholera is toally preventable. Practicing and ensuring personal and environmental hygiene is key to preventing infectious diseases such as #COVID19 and #Cholera.
