NEW: 3 crew members hospitalized after train crash, derailment in Folkston, Georgia.
A CSX intermodal train derailed Monday after striking a rock train in Folkston, Georgia, according to a CSX spokesperson.
The derailment happened at around 1:24 p.m. Preliminary reports said that two locomotives, two intermodal and two rock cars derailed as a result of the incident.
Officials said no hazardous materials were involved.
The incident resulted in a small fire that was extinguished. Officials said three crew members were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
CSX said it has deployed resources to assess the situation, remove the equipment and restore the area.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
