The rumors that Russia is going to buy USMIL (really, it's AAF) equipment from the Taliban are just that, rumors.

Yes, even if they have BREAKING, REPORT, or NEW in the headline.

The source of these rumors appears to be the General SVR telegram channel. That channel has a history of putting out junk claims, such as Putin being on his death bed, having surgeries, being in car bomb attacks, etc.

So yeah, based on the sourcing, I doubt these rumors are true.

Besides, the Taliban needs that equipment for their own defense and why would Putin want it anyway? I mean, maybe he'd want the Blackhawks and Tucanos. Maybe.

Seems like just another clickbait story, IMO.
