State and federal elections are a big problem. Yes. We know this.
But we've been saying there is a renewed understanding that local elections matter significantly when it comes to your day-to-day well being.

- The state supreme court went from a 4-3 R majority to a 5-2 supermajority.
- The state senate is now a Republican supermajority.
- State house is one seat short of a supermajority.
- Four Republicans were elected to the North Carolina Court of Appeals Tuesday, defeating all Democratic candidates.
There is a LOT of good happening in many places.
