At least nine tons of the drug and two pickup trucks were seized at the two camps, located in the San Miguel Colony in the Department of Amambay.

According to the Paraguayan agency, the production center was controlled by the Rio faction Comando Vermelho (CV) and the marijuana produced at the site would be destined for Rio de Janeiro.

In the two camps, 8,400 kilos of the chopped drug were found and 520 kilos inside the rustic presses. A Ford and Toyota pickup truck were also seized, possibly used to transport marijuana.

According to Senad, the production center was well equipped and had the capacity to process large volumes of drugs. Hydraulic jacks, chainsaws and even a generator were seized and burned on the spot, along with marijuana.
