The US House of Representatives passed legislation condemning the pro-Palestinian chant that has recently become popular among certain circles in the US and the West: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" as anti-Semitic. The proposal passed with 377 supporters against 44 opponents.

The resolution defines the call as an obscene call for the destruction of the State of Israel.

Anthony D'Esposito, a member of the US House of Representatives, said in response to the decision:

"These anti-Semitic activists want the destruction of the State of Israel and the Jewish people within it. America will always stand by Israel."
