Prof. Ulrike Kämmerer had the work of Wenjie Tan et. al. apparently misunderstood - but no virus isolate ❗️
On October 22, 2020 at the 22nd meeting of the Corona Committee, the 2nd authoritative study by the Chinese by Wenjie Tan et. al discussed.
🎓 RA Reiner Füllmich asked Prof. Ulrike Kämmerer: "Has the Wuhan virus really been scientifically correctly isolated?"
🧑🔬 Prof. Ulrike Kämmerer:: "The way it reads, and the work is done very cleanly, in my opinion, yes very well done, they isolated the virus as early as the beginning of January and also presented it with an electron microscope and yes also sequenced several patient isolates" [...]"
👨🔬 🇨🇳 Wenjie Tan, lead author of the study, disagrees: "[We show] an image of sedimented virus particles, not purified particles".
