Musk's new CEO appointment shows he has admitted defeat on trying to overcome advertiser boycotts for a more free speech twitter.
These numbers really put things in perspective: Twitter has 700,000 subscribers to Twitter Blue, far below Elon's projections, and generating about $67 million per year. Twitter made $4.5 billion in advertising in 2021. Since pressure was placed on advertisers by Jewish-led "civil rights groups" advertising revenue has declined by $1.5 billion.
Social media companies are still massively reliant on advertisers who are very sensitive to pressure from these civil society organisations.
