🚨Operation Lost and Found: U.S. Marshals Recover, Locate 11 Missing Children in Colorado
🔹The U.S. Marshals, in coordination with the Aurora PD and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, wrapped up a two-week multi-agency effort named "Operation Lost and Found" to locate or recover critically endangered missing children in the Denver area.
🔹From Nov. 7-18, authorities coordinated to locate or recover a total of 11 critically endangered missing children, resulting in one arrest of an adult for alleged interference with a custodial order.
🔹These children, between the ages of 12 and 17, were considered to be some of the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases in the area, based on indications of high-risk factors such as victimization of child sex trafficking, child exploitation, sex abuse, physical abuse and medical or mental health conditions.
🔹This operation is the first dedicated missing child operation conducted by the U.S. Marshals Service in Colorado.

🚨Atlanta Sex Trafficker Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Offenses During Super Bowl LIV in Miami
🔹Anthony B. Carter, who was convicted of sex trafficking a young woman and a 17-year-old girl during the 2020 Super Bowl has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison.
🔹Carter was convicted of sex trafficking by force, fraud, coercion; transporting a person to engage in sexual activity; sex trafficking of a minor; transporting a minor to engage in sexual activity.
🔹Carter brought the woman and teen to Miami during the week of Super Bowl LIV. While there he advertised the victims for commercial sex in online ads, and both engaged in commercial sex at his direction. Law enforcement encountered Carter when he took the teen to a hotel to meet a client, who was actually an undercover officer. Carter fled from police but was later arrested in Atlanta.

🚨UPDATE: Thai Woman Pleads Guilty in International Sex Trafficking Case
🔹The last of 37 defendants in a large-scale international Thai sex trafficking ring has pled guilty, bringing the years-long case to a close.
🔹Sumalee Intarathong, 61, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and conspiracy to engage in money laundering. When sentenced she faces up to life in federal prison.
🔹Court docs: Intarathong worked with others at the highest level of a criminal organization to transport hundreds of women from Bangkok to U.S. cities on promises of a better life.
🔹After arriving, the women were owned by the traffickers until the victim could repay bondage debt, from $40k to $60K. The victims lived houses of prostitution, where they earned money by selling sex.
