Armed robbers invaded a Johannesburg church in South Africa and stole from the congregants at gunpoint over the weekend.

The gunmen stopped the sermon before proceeding to collect cash and valuables from the people inside the Johannesburg Central SDA church, according to reports.

South Sudan should investigate officials accused of overseeing systematic gang rapes, some of whose victims were girls as young as nine, UN rights experts said on Monday in a statement the government dismissed as a fabrication.

Investigators say sexual abuse has been used as a weapon by all sides in South Sudan's civil conflict, which erupted in 2013 and triggered Africa's biggest refugee crisis since the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

The government of the Central African Republic (CAR) announced, on Monday, that a plane coming from a neighboring country bombed in the middle of the night and bombed CAR troops and their Russian allies.

The plane targeted a military base and "dropped explosives on the town" of Bossangoa, in the north, but caused only material damage.

Chad lies north of Bossangoa, a town which was in rebel hands until recently, and relations with the CAR have been tense recently.

In a statement, the businessman claimed that Nathan Lemekhandi Nyirenda, who was serving a 9,5 year prison sentence, agreed to be recruited as an act of gratitude for โ€œRussia helping Africans to gain independence.โ€

Prigozhin added that Nyirenda had "died a hero".
