The shooting in Paris: two dead and four injured, two of them in critical condition. The shooter, about 69 years old, was arrested and questioned. The shooting was carried out near a Kurdish center in the city.

Dangerously cold weather is hitting parts of the US and Canada. In some places it will feel like -55C.
