Jill Biden tells Arizona college graduates 'community colleges should be free in America'

First lady Jill Biden called for community college education to be "free in America" during her commencement address in Arizona to Mesa Community College's class of 2024.

At the Saturday event in Tempe, on Arizona State University's campus, Biden's call was met with cheers from those assembled, as she further spoke about her own role as an educator at a Virginia community college while her husband serves in the White House.

"On behalf of President Biden, Vice President Harris, and the Second Gentleman: Congratulations, Class of 2024, we are so proud of you," Biden said.

Fetterman slams media coverage of 'fringe' pro-Palestine students who walked out of Seinfeld speech

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., blasted the mainstream media coverage of comedian Jerry Seinfeld's Duke University commencement speech over the weekend.

"30 out of 7,000 students walked out. That’s 0.43%. Why does the media habitually platform this fringe?" Fetterman wrote Monday on X.

"Guaranteed coverage is the nicotine to the pup tent campus intifada and Hamas salutes them all," he added.

According to the Census Bureau, 15.6% of the U.S. population is now foreign-born.

Illegal immigration that has exploded under President Joe Biden has driven the biggest surge in the foreign population in America ever recorded.

A Center for Immigration Studies analysis of the new census numbers said Biden’s open border policies have fed the increase.

“In March 2024, the foreign-born population reached 51.6 million, 5.1 million more than in March 2022 — the largest two-year increase ever recorded in American history,” the report said.

New York court strikes down order banning transgender athletes

A judge has struck down a New York county's ban on transgender athletes from participating in female sports, saying the county executive exceeded his authority by issuing the directive.

The ruling by state Supreme Court Judge Francis Ricigliano overturns an executive order signed by Nassau County Chief Executive Bruce Blakeman in February that requires any sports team seeking to use a county facility to provide information on "the biological sex at birth of the team members/participants."

"He’s a convicted felon," Tuberville said of Cohen at a press conference outside the courthouse. "I mean this guy is giving an acting scene."

"Cohen can’t remember how old his son is or how old he was when he started to work for Trump but I’m sure he remembers extremely small details from years ago!" Vance, who is in contention to be picked as Trump's running mate, wrote in a sarcasm-laden tweetstorm on X. "Michael Cohen admitting he secretly recorded his employer. Just totally normal conduct, right? The best part is he said he did it only once and only for Trump’s benefit. A standup guy!"

China is tracking and intimidating students studying in Europe and North America overseas as well as their family members who are still based out of China, according to a new report.

"The testimonies gathered in this report paint a chilling picture of how the Chinese and Hong Kong governments seek to silence students even when they are thousands of miles from home, leaving many students living in fear," Amnesty International's China Director Sarah Brooks said Monday in an announcement about her agency's report.

China has a long history of tracking and intimidating international students, and the communist country does not appear to be letting up on it.
