Judge Judy has sued the parent company of the National Enquirer over a "fabricated" claim that she was on a personal mission to save the Menendez brothers some 35 years after the murder of their parents.
Accelerate360 and A360 Media are listed as the defendants in a suit, which was filed on behalf of Judy Sheindlin in Collier County, Florida.
In a statement to DailyMail.com Monday, Sheindlin said of the necessity of the suit:
"When you fabricate stories about me in order to make money for yourselves with no regard for the truth or the reputation Iβve spent a lifetime cultivating, itβs going to cost you. When you've done it multiple times, itβs unconscionable and will be expensive. It has to be expensive so that you will stop." π₯

NEW: ICE says a Colombian aggravated murderer who was caught by Border Patrol in November near San Luis, AZ, was released into the U.S. on his own recognizance, despite a 2016 conviction for aggravated murder in Colombia and being wanted in his home country.
Boston based ICE deportation officers just found & arrested him on Monday.
I have reached out to CBP to ask how this convicted & wanted killer was released into the U.S. despite constant DHS claims of βthorough vettingβ at the border. Will update when I hear back.
βThis Colombian national is wanted in his home country for some very serious crimes,β said ICE Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons. βHe attempted to hide out in Massachusetts, and now he will have to answer for his actions.β - ICE Statement

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is prodding the Secret Service to keep protesters farther away from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, warning a conflict is likely unless the security perimeter is changed.
βI am deeply concerned about reports that the security perimeter around the Republican Convention site in Milwaukee may be creating a likely β and preventable β area of conflict between protesters and convention attendees and delegates,β McConnell warned in a May 10 letter to Kimberly Cheatle, the director of the U.S. Secret Service.

Sounds to me like the wrong dude is on trial:
Michael Cohen, who served as former President Trump's personal attorney, testified in Manhattan court that he used his own funds to pay a former pornographic actress $130,000 to quiet her claims of an alleged affair with Trump.
Cohen took the stand in the NY v. Trump case Monday, where he told the court that as the 2016 election came down to the wire, he took out a line of credit on his home in order to pay Stormy Daniels $130,000 in order to execute a non-disclosure agreement and obtain rights to her claims of the affair. Daniels alleges she had an affair with Trump in 2006 during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, though Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations.
