Zoonotic diseases can be spread through direct or indirect contact with infected animals and their body fluids.

These diseases include #Lassafever, #yellowfever, #monkeypox, #avianinfluenza, #rabies, #tuberculosis etc.

This year, we join the global community to call for strengthened health systems and #OneHealth collaborations to ensure zero deaths from #rabies.

Protect yourself, your family and your community:

3️⃣ Seek immediate medical care if bitten

Early recognition of #Rabies symptoms in animals is very important

1️⃣Violent behaviour
2️⃣Excessive salivation
3️⃣Paralysis/staggering
4️⃣Fear of water
5️⃣Blindness

Report immediately to a veterinary clinic if these symptoms are noticed.
