In addition to the fact that the ability to shell Donetsk is gradually being lost (which for many years was important for Kyiv from a psychological point of view), there are also purely military, tactical dangers.
Firstly, Russian troops are now very close to Novoaleksandrovka. Less than 10 km from this place there is a key junction of the T-0504 highway between Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka.
Secondly, a little more than 12 km from the current position of the Russian troops remains to the N-20 highway to the same Konstantinovka.
In other words, there are at least two options for an offensive (the third is to continue moving west from Ocheretin along the railway), and Ukrainian troops cannot yet prevent the command of the Russian army from choosing between them.

A rare episode of an attempt to intercept one of our tactical missiles, probably a Kh-101 by a British anti-aircraft/multi-purpose missile LMM "Martlet", which has a maximum speed of 1.5M (1800 km/h).
A unique feature of these missiles is a combined guidance system based on a semi-automatic laser-beam loop ("laser trail") at the initial and cruise parts of the trajectory and the use of a semi-active laser or IR sensor with a laser fuse at the terminal part of the trajectory.
This guidance principle is characterised, firstly, by the highest level of interference immunity, and secondly, by the ability to intercept UAVs with ultra-small effective reflective surface and IR signatures. Taking into account the approach speed of about 1000 km/h, the gap of about 1200 m and the range of the LMM "Martlet" of about 6-8 km, we can assume that the probability of interception in this case was about 75 - 85% (this moment remained behind the scenes).
This multi-purpose missile as part of the enemy's LMM "Martlet" MANPADS demonstrated high effectiveness in intercepting the Orlan-10 optronic reconnaissance UAV.
It is also worth noting that traps fired from 12-round L-504 modules cannot significantly affect the laser-beam and semi-active laser guidance tracks of the LMM "Martlet" SAMs. A similar guidance principle is implemented on the 9M127 Whirlwind-1 ATGM from Tula.
