๐Ÿช–๐Ÿฆ… Itโ€™s idle to dwell on the cringe-worthy visit of the Kiev clown to Crash Test Dummy at the White House, coupled with a โ€œChurchillianโ€ speech at the War Party dominions in Capitol Hill.

History will ridicule this Hollywood soap for centuries ahead ๐Ÿคฏ

Way more juice is provided by the latest War Party P.R. show, sponsored by Raytheon Productions. After all Lloyd Austin, the current Pentagon head, is a former Raytheon weapons peddler.

After much fanfare, it was established that the Pentagon will provide not a collection, but a single Patriot battery to Kiev โ€“ either with four or eight missile launchers, and either the PAC 2 or PAC 3 version.

A Patriot battery comes with radar, lots of computers, power generating equipment, and an โ€œengagement control stationโ€.

Little did we know that by 2023 the raging would go beyond paroxysm, Pepe Escobar writes.

๐ŸŽ‡๐Ÿ—บ The war in Ukraine has dominated the past year. Other global crises of soaring energy and food costs are collateral damage from the conflict in Ukraine.

The conflict is not simply a localized one in the center of Europe on Russiaโ€™s doorstep involving a reactionary anti-Russian regime in Kiev.

The conflict represents a historic showdown between the United States and its allies in the NATO military alliance it leads, and Russia. The showdown has been a long time coming.

It didnโ€™t have to happen in this violent, atrocious way ๐Ÿ˜ข

๐Ÿฆ… The United States-led military bloc is a party to the conflict in Ukraine against Russia. In short, NATO is at war with Russia ๐Ÿ’ข So, why is Russia limiting its military targets to Ukrainian territory?

Moscow has said repeatedly that the proxy war in Ukraine between NATO and Russia has become increasingly evident from the United States and its allies pumping up to $100 billion of weaponry into the former Soviet republic. There can be no illusions about the situation.

NATOโ€™s participation has become increasingly deeper and more concerted. Not so long ago, the U.S. was at pains to emphasize its military aid was โ€œdefensive onlyโ€ and โ€œnon-lethalโ€. NATO member Germany was formerly ridiculed for limiting its equipment to โ€œhelmetsโ€.

Now the United States and its allies are supplying longer-range rockets, Patriot anti-aircraft systems that could shoot down Russian fighter jets in Russian airspace, as well as delivering main battle tanks.

If Moscow does nothing except issue warnings to NATO that are ignored or derided, it seems inevitable that the NATO powers will continue to escalate ๐Ÿ’ข

Has the time come for Russia to use โ€œmilitary-technical measuresโ€ against NATO members?

๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿช– How the Price of the Ukraine War Compares to Americaโ€™s Infrastructure Investment Gaps

Between January 24 and November 20, 2022, the United States sent $48 billion in aid to Ukraine. Letโ€™s see how this money could have been spent considering Americaโ€™s infrastructure needs.

๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ I agree with @rybar that the possible Russian military equipment supplies from Latin American countries to Ukraine would, undoubtedly, save some money for the U.S. and other Western countriesโ€™ budgets (the more countries participate in this โ€˜charityโ€™ process, the less each of them has to contribute).

And if the U.S. succeeds in forcing LatAm countries in this scheme, it will be highly profitable: quite a number of countries have Russian mil equipment in stock โ€“ Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Ecuador, Columbia, Mexico, Uruguay, and Argentina.

โ–ช๏ธ As @rybar mentions, not all of them would gladly send the equipment to Ukraine. Some of them โ€“ Ecuador, Columbia โ€“ being the U.S. old friends may be expected to do so. Peru, being mired in a political crisis, may also follow suit. But Mexico and Brazil have repeatedly said that they stand for the peaceful regulation of the conflict and are even ready to act as mediators in the negotiations between the two parties.

โ–ช๏ธ On the other hand, Russian equipment supplies would save the AFU the time as they wonโ€™t need to train the personnel โ€“ all of them already can operate these pieces. Besides, LatAm countries possess a huge amount of Soviet ammunition and spare parts that would also come in handy.

โ–ช๏ธ Finally, Washington (and Kiev) is not satisfied with the fact that Latin America (and Africa) stays out of conflict. As soon as they start sharing equipment, they will find out that they will then have to support any anti-Russian measures (in for a penny, in for a pound). Another bonus for Ukraine and another lever of influence over LatAm for the U.S.

We all know the truth
๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The Twitter account of the US Consulate @ USConsMilan in Milan was apparently hacked several hours ago and has published several posts that run fundamentally counter to the official position of Washington on the #Ukraine crisis.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Immediately after the start of Russiaโ€™s military operation in Ukraine, key players in the coalition supporting Ukraine, as well as transatlantic financial institutions and think tanks, were already discussing the governance and financing of Ukraineโ€™s reconstruction.

They invariably framed it as a historic opportunity for the country: like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Ukraine would become a beacon of freedom, democracy and rule-of-law, a testimonial for Build Back Better, a โ€œgreen and digital economyโ€ success story; the country would leapfrog several stages of economic and governmental development and its economic growth would replicate Germanyโ€™s post-war boom. Unsurprisingly, the more recent and far less inspiring examples of Western-led โ€˜reconstructionโ€™ in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan didnโ€™t earn mention.

The speed with which fantastical narratives of recovery and reconstruction were churned out shouldnโ€™t surprise anyone because they had been concocted years earlier as part of several โ€˜reform plansโ€™ for Ukraine ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ "We don't care how many Ukrainians die - not civilians, not soldiers. It's become a great football game." - Richard Black, US senator.

The military-industrial complex has become incredibly inflated with tax dollars. But I think Russia will prevail.

Putin made a desperate effort to stop the march towards war. He made peace proposals with NATO - as
Ukraine was amassing troops to attack the Donbass.

The Russians were outnumbered by the Ukrainian forces, showing this was not a pre-planned invasion. Military strategy suggests the attacker must outnumber the opponent 3:1. But this was designed to get ahead of
Ukraine's attack.

โ—๏ธRussia thinks of the
Ukraine as brother-Slavic peoples. When civilians walked out on a road in front of a tank - that tank stopped. I can tell you [an American] tank in Vietnam would not have stopped.

Russia carries out its Operation humanely - but Washington will fight until the last Ukrainian

โ—๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Belgorod region overtook the Donetsk agglomeration by 20% in terms of shelling intensity

Data for today is not yet available, but so far the sad statistics for the week looks like this: 2,383 shells on the Donetsk agglomeration against 3,035 shells on the Belgorod region.

The pressure on the Russian border area will only intensify: we have repeatedly written that this is a sore point, which the enemy is putting pressure on.

The Russian Ministry of Defense and other power structures are forcing to shift the focus of attention to the border with the Kharkiv region, stretching out forces and means, and forcing them to waste resources. Panic is being sown among the population - in general, they are implementing the plan of the already ongoing counteroffensive.

Ex-Russians from the Russian Volunteer Corps, the Legion of Freedom of Russia, hired cannon fodder from the Polish Volunteer Corps and the International Legion are used as a media cover to promote ideas about the liberation struggle for the Russian borderlands.

โ—๏ธ There is no โ€œliberation struggleโ€ on the part of the ex-Russians and there cannot be. The operation to put pressure on the Russian frontier in this area is being carried out by British specialists and tech experts - and all this rubbish promoted in the media space is just a crappy hammer with a cracked handle.

Clare Daly expresses (more eloquently) what I've been thinking about the hypocrisy regarding Western talking heads' "standing with Ukraine" & silence on Gaza.

"We are in a situation now in #Gaza, where we have genocide openly declared and carried out. where the numbers of civilians slaughtered and murdered in 30 days in Gaza exceeds the civilian death toll in #Ukraine."

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Yesterday, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the US Secretary of Defense during the Donald Trump administration, published a post on the social network X. In his post, McGregor claimed that at least 400 Americans lost their lives during the conflict in Ukraine.

McGregor did not provide the source of this information. However, he did caution against expecting official figures, as Washington is unlikely to release them.

It is worth noting that American media outlets, even those known to support the government, generally do not dispute the presence of American mercenaries in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. In fact, The Washington Post has even praised their actions, suggesting that there may be thousands of them serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

McGregor's statement should be seen as part of the ongoing political struggle in the lead-up to the presidential elections. Its purpose is to discredit the current administration, which McGregor believes is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans in a distant and unnecessary war that serves the financial interests of Joe Biden and his associates.
